IHDP Urbanization and Global Environmental Change Project
The goal of the Urbanization and Global Environmental Change Project (UGEC) is to develop a better understanding of the interactions and feedbacks between global environmental change and urbanization at the local, regional, and global scales.  A strong component of this project is focus on both scientific knowledge and the translation of this knowledge into the context of local decision-making. Professor Seto is Co-Chair of UGEC with Professor Roberto Sanchez-Rodriguez (UC Riverside). UGEC is a project of the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change(IHDP), an interdisciplinary non-governmental science organization that coordinates, promotes, and catalyzes research, capacity-building and networking on the human dimensions of global environmental change.

The Center for Earth Observation
The Center for Earth Observation (CEO) is one of the Yale Institute of Biospheric Studies (YIBS) research centers. They provide a centralized source of remote sensing hardware, software, and expertise for the Yale community. Assistance is available to help users in the selection, procurement and analysis of satellite images. In addition, the Center has a large and growing archive of Landsat, MODIS, AVHRR, ASTER, GOES, Radarsat, ERS-1, and JERS-1 satellite images that are available for research projects.

The Hixon Center for Urban Ecology
The Hixon Center seeks to understand and enhance the urban environment by providing an interdisciplinary context for scholars and practitioners to pursue research, teaching and applied activities. It is one of several research centers hosted by the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. Grants are available to support student research projects and publications.
