Richa Mahtta is interested in the relationship between contemporary urbanization and resource use: How variability in this relationship impact societies and environment across scales? Her current research focusses on understanding three-dimensional urban expansion in global cities. She has over seven years of research and consulting experience in diverse fields after completing her Master’s in Natural Resource Management (2011). She has led several projects, independently and in collaboration, with national and international organizations (IIASA, World Bank, TERI and WRI) on environmental management and sustainable development issues at varied spatial scales (urban, regional, and global).
