Shijuan Chen

I am an environmental data scientist with expertise in land change monitoring using remote sensing and geospatial technology. Currently, I am a postdoctoral associate at Yale University. I earned my PhD in Earth and Environment at Boston University. My research interests include:

- Remote sensing and geospatial science
- Land use change
- Deforestation and forest degradation
- Terrestrial ecosystem and carbon cycle
- Urbanization
- Artificial intelligence
- Time series analysis

I take lead roles in multiple research projects funded by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and USGS (United States Geological Survey).
